I have served as Legislative Representative for Belmont Central Elementary for five years. I am a Boy Scout den leader. I am also a member of the Belmont Optimist.
1. What sets you apart from your opponents in this election?
I have shared my views in local papers and will stand by my principals. I'm not a developer or in real estate. I will be objective, but vote for the best interest of Belmont’s citizens.
2. What are the two most important issues in Belmont and how do you plan to address them?
Growth and water. I support developers paying for new infrastructure as a code requirement to build in Belmont. I would like to see a reservoir considered to alleviate any future water shortfalls as we grow.
3. Is Belmont growing too slowly, too quickly, or at just the right pace? Why?
Too rapidly. We currently have enough houses planned to double Belmont’s size but not the infrastructure to support it. Our river is running dry and our streets are overflowing. We are overheating as a community.
