1. What do city officials plan to do about the water situation?

We are trying all options available to get water, drilling test wells, testing quarry water, etc. The state with all its regulations and red tape stymie us at every turn. You would think in this time of drought that they would step up and help, but they have not.

2. What do city officials plan to do about overpopulation in the schools?

School population is going to be a problem all over Gaston County as the Char-Meck region continues to grow. I would ask our school board to step up to the plate and help everyone make some long distance plans.

3. What do you think are the main issues in Bessemer City?

Of course, Bessemer City's biggest issue is water. We cannot continue to grow residentially and industrially if we cannot supply basic needs. Also we've made the first big step in growth by approving the UDO for the city. Our growth will be smart growth.
