Two terms on the Cramerton City Council and two years as Mayor Pro Tem
1. What are the main issues in Cramerton?
Growth. Our population is on track to double in ten years . Infrastructure, police and fire service, etc. will have to be addressed. With the help of grant money we are currently working with surrounding towns to study a regional plan. Economic development. The closing of so many plants has hurt our job-base and tax revenue.
2. Residents love the new park improvements. What other improvements can residents expect to come about in Cramerton?
Our Parks and Recreation team have a Greenway Plan that is so exciting. The largest project is the development of Goat Island. Amphitheater, picnic areas, walking trails, and more! The plan would connect our community to other surrounding greenways and waterways.
3. What sets you a part from other candidates?
Diverse experience. Not only in the political area but as a business owner and former employee in public service arenas. I know how to run a successful business; how to motivate a team and then let them do their jobs but I also know how it feels to be an employee at city hall or the citizen who needs a problem solved.
