1. What do town officials plan on doing about growth in Dallas?

We have experienced a good rate of growth through annexation, voluntary and involuntary. Any future major growth will come after our water and sewer treatment facilities have been improved and expanded.

2. There seems to be a lot of trees being cleared off, what do town officials plan on doing about helping the environment as the trees continue to be cut down?

Dallas does'nt have a "Tree" ordainance, however the February Board meeting ammended the zoning code for parking lots of 4000 Square feet must add trees and shrubbery. A "Tree Island" ordinance was approved in August.

3. How do city officials plan to ensure we have adequate fire protection i.e. enough firefighters and annexes to assess fires?

Financing has been approved for a new larger Fire Station and is in the pre-bidding stages. We currently have 28 dedicated and qualified volunteer fireman and the Fire Chief is a fulltime employee.
