1. What do town officials plan on doing about growth in Dallas?
Growth is good for our community for providing our citizens with opportunities such as restaurants, grocery stores, and banking opportunities. However, it is important to protect our Hometown atmosphere, maintain high level of public safety and maintain high excellent quality of life for our citizens.
2. There seems to be a lot of trees being cleared off, what do town officials plan on doing about helping the environment as the trees continue to be cut down?
I am only aware of trees being cut down that are diseased or pose a threat to power lines or public safety. I support zoning ordinances that require land owner or developers to replace trees as necessary to protect and preserve the environment.
3. How do city officials plan to ensure we have adequate fire protection i.e.
enough firefighters and annexes to assess fires?
The Town is in the process of building a new fire department. Also during the last budgeting year the Town of Dallas hired a part-time fire chief. He has actively recruited town employees and citizens of Dallas to join and be active in the fire department. However, as time passes if there is a need for more action I as a board member at this present time would take the appropriate action to ensure that adequate protection is added to protect the citizens of Dallas.
