We have not raised tax rate in 8-10 years. We only raise water rates when Gastonia raises our rates. We buy our water from Gastonia, so therefore when Gastonia raises the rate we have to raise it also.

We need industry to come into Ranlo. We have lost a lot of Industry. The answer is not easy, and we are just thankful that industry is coming into other parts of the county, and therefore our residents will have an opportunity to get a job at some of these places.
