1. What sets you apart from your opponents in this election?
I have served Belmont for 38 years — 31 on the police department and eight on the City Council. I am very knowledgeable with the functions of the city. I have lived here all my life.
2. What are the two most important issues in Belmont and how do you plan to address them?
The need for more schools and roads. I’ll work with the School Board and county commissioners to clarify Belmont’s needs. I’ll work with the DOT to widen/maintain our state roads, and maintain local streets.
3. Is Belmont growing too slowly, too quickly, or at just the right pace? Why?
I feel Belmont is growing at the right pace. We have passed the Land Use Act and new zoning codes to control growth that is needed and that will be fair to everyone.
